I have a limited number of reduced-fee openings available in my schedule. If my regular fee isn't possible for you, please let me know, and we can discuss the possibility of meeting for a lower fee.
Cancellation Policy
I request 48 hours notice prior to a cancellation, in order to avoid incurring the full fee of our session. If you cancel by email 48 hours or more before our meeting, I will honor the time stamp on your email. I do not charge a cancellation fee in the event of illness, child emergencies, or an unexpected lack of childcare coverage. I do charge for cancellations due to work conflict.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
OON with Insurance
I do not accept insurance, but I can offer a Superbill for potential reimbursement when working with individuals. Prior to scheduling, please confirm with your insurance provider if this is necessary for you.
Why is couples therapy private pay?
Insurance-covered therapy requires one person to be identified as the primary client with a diagnosis. Couples therapy is different—it centers on the relationship itself and the needs of both partners. Because insurance does not currently support this model, and to ensure clear confidentiality for both partners, couples therapy is offered as a private-pay service.
